Born in 1975 and raised near Albany, New York, Justin has spent nearly his entire life beguiled by photography. At the age of 15, with access to a darkroom and the gift of a used Spotmatic SLR, curiosity became a compulsion.

His images are marked by their simplicity and directed attention. By highlighting otherwise overlooked elements, either within the physical subject or the subtlety of the moment being recorded, he creates photographs that attempt to defy the sensory clutter in the everyday.

Justin holds a BFA from Alfred University with a concentration in photography and significant work in video and sonic arts. He currently resides in New York City, where he continues to pursue image making both personally and professionally.
